21st Century Success Academy

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers targets students through an after-school program of extended academic instruction and original activities designed to enhance and enrich participation and learning. Program goals and objectives focus on student achievement improvement in the areas of English language arts and mathematics, as well as enrichment through new, interesting, challenging, and exciting experiences. Students at Lyman Hall Elementary School as well as Gainesville Exploratory Academy have already begun to experience these programs and have developed valuable 21st Century skills that will no doubt better their chances of being successful, productive citizens. For the next 5 years the reach of this innovative program will be extended to include students at Fair Street Elementary School, Centennial Arts Academy, Gainesville Middle School, and Gainesville High School.

Although this is all great news, this grant is specifically targeted toward approximately 350 kids, about half of the kids the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier actually serves. It is essential for our Clubs to provide the same opportunities to all Club members; therefore we need the support of the community to open the door to Great Futures for all of our kids.
