Abb Hayes Recognized for Volunteerism
Friday March 06, 2009 - The National award is awarded to board members and volunteers who have rendered unusually devoted service to Boys & Girls Clubs over a considerable period of time. To be eligible the individual must display an unusual interest and participation in the promotion and assistance of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Hayes received the National Service to Youth Award for his unusual efforts in raising funds and promoting the works of the Clubs.
Abb Hayes works tirelessly and has taken on many roles during his tenure with the Clubs. He recently has taken the lead role in developing and implementing a new annual campaign to help raise the necessary funds for the new Walters Club currently under construction on Memorial Park Drive. “Abb’s dedication to our organization and kids is legendary. He has been part of the very fabric of this organization for many years,” stated Joe Ethier, chief professional officer of the Club.
