21st Century Community Learning Centers also aim to involve the families of our members. By providing education to family members, our members’ success is nurtured even after they leave the Club. The following initiatives to involve the family usually take place in the evening so adults have a better likelihood to attend.

Family Literacy

Certified instructors teach English and Spanish Curriculum such as Rosetta Stone to strengthen parents’ language skills

Financial Planning

Experts in the financial planning field are utilized to show parents how to successfully plan their finances through methods demonstrated in David Ramsey’s Financial Peace University

Nutrition Classes

Parents are provided with the knowledge they need to promote healthy eating at home

Parenting Training

The STEP (Systematic Training and Educating Parents) Curriculum is offered to parents to help them make the best decisions concerning the well-being of their child

Computer/Library Hours

Qualified support staff are available weeknight and weekend hours to provide proper training and assist families as they use the Club technological facilities

Family Night

Nights with various themes such as college preparation and homework help are featured throughout the year to keep families engaged

Service Learning

Program Instructors encourage civic responsibility, volunteering, leadership skills, and character development
