Gonzalez Gives Back

Monday November 02, 2009 - Gonzalez shared with the guests attending the Gala how when he was in eight grade, he would hide and run home from school because he was being bullied. He reflected on his time at the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Beach, California and how it was a place to go, hang out, be safe and learn. Gonzalez grew up in a single-parent home and with his mom working the Club provided a place for him to have fun and learn discipline.

Gonzalez shared his secret for success, "It's about going everyday and getting up and doing it regardless of what's stacked against you or how you feel. I followed my dreams, I never gave up and I work hard and I think those things are important in life."
