On August 4, 2010, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County will celebrate the Grand Opening of a new 10,400 square foot state-of-the-art facility with the capacity to serve 250 area youth per day.
June 11, 2010Taco Bell Collects Donations for Keystone Program
From June 3rd – June 15th, Taco Bell restaurants around the country will be collecting donations to benefit the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens, which supports Boys & Girls Clubs’ national Keystone program conducted in Clubs throughout the country like ours.

The Atlanta Falcons brought approximately 75 volunteers out to Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County Joseph Walters Club as a part of the Atlanta Falcons Community Day on April 30th, from 9 am – 2 pm to help provide landscaping to the area.

Teryan Rucker, a twelve-year member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County, has been named the Youth of the Year for the state of Georgia by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).
March 09, 2010 Georgia Mountain Food Bank Provides Healthy Snacks for Youth
The kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County got a healthy after-school snack recently on the first day of the Munch Bunch program, sponsored by the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
Granola bars and juice boxes are some of the food items children will start to eat after school to promote a nutritious diet.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County recently name Teryan Rucker as the 2010 Youth of the Year. Teryan has been a member of the Club for 12 years and attributes much of his success in school and future aspirations to the life lessons he learned while at the Clubs.

September 22, 200911TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY GOLF CLASSIC RAISES FUNDS
On September 18th over 100 golfers turned out for the 11th Annual Holiday Golf Classic at the new Legacy on Lanier Golf Club. Despite the forecasted rain, players enjoyed playing on the superbly designed course and as luck would have it the rain bypassed the tournament during one of the wettest weeks in Georgia's history.

On July 14th - 17th, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County had 12 teens attend the "Gear Up" Program. This program was attended by teens from Clubs throughout the state and hosted at the University of Georgia.

The University of Georgia Hall County Cooperative Extension in cooperation with District 2 Health Department, American Cancer Society and the Northeast Georgia Medical Center would like to offer through the Boys and Girls Club a FREE cooking school to reduce risk for cancer and other chronic diseases. The school is entitled, “Cooking for a Life Time: Healthy Food Preparation to Help Prevent Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases”.

The life green cruiser bicycle seen in Regions advertising campaign is finding a new home. 150 of the bicycles are being donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County to show Regions support of the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County received a grant from United Way of Hall County in the amount of $15,000 to fund the Goals For Graduation Program which introduces teens to academic goal setting.

Falcons players serve as mentors to boys from the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County through monthly meetings that provide the boys the opportunity to talk to the players about school work, home life, and other issues that may be affecting their lives.
