Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of kids and teens at Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier and are vital to the success of our programs. You can change a child’s life and help put kids on the path to great futures. For more information on volunteering, email our Human Resources Department at BGCLvolunteer@bgclanier.org or call  770-532-8102.

Volunteer Application Process

To ensure the safety of our members, all volunteers must complete a Volunteer Enrollment Form and pass a criminal background check before beginning their volunteer service. Follow these steps to become a volunteer and begin changing lives:

  1. Complete our Volunteer Enrollment Form
  2. Complete and submit a Criminal History Record Search Consent Form and a GBI Background Check Request Form
  3. Set up an appointment to interview, complete volunteer orientation and tour the Club site
  4. Complete online Mandated Reporter Training
  5. Begin changing lives

“Working with these students one-on-one is wonderful; and that is an understatement. It is a joy I never knew (or realized or took for granted) with my own children! I shared my experience with my wife, and now she is a volunteer as well. We look forward to volunteering and are honored to be a part of these children’s lives.”
