21st Century Community Learning Centers provides programs to approximately 350 of our 650+ members. These programs are developed to positively influence our 3 primary impact areas here at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall Lanier. These programs are essential to the development of our children and their futures. 


Programs Impacting Academic Success:


a program in which Certified teachers guide our members and assist them with after-school help for their in-school needs

Power Hour-

a program in which BGC of Lanier professional developmental staff assist our members with homework through high-yield learning activities and encourage members to become self-directed learners

Science Naturally/Mystery Clubs-

a playful, socially engaging, team building program that combines literature with science and mathematics, blends fact and fiction to improve students' language (vocabulary) and communication skills, as well as adding dimension and understanding to these subjects

Skill Tech/Club Tech-

a basic computer skills program that develops Club members' proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and other productivity software through fun, hands-on, engaging lessons and projects

Programs Impacting Good Character and Citizenship:

Center Point Mentoring Partnership-

a program through which adult mentors are matched to students in need to provide guidance and support

Art/Drama/Music/Dance Enrichment-

a program that enables youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing and dance and music.

National Photography Program-

a program designed to help Club members go beyond taking simple snapshots and develop the skills to produce impactful photographs

School Scrimmage-

a program that enhances positive behavior by assisting students enhance self-regulating skills though participation in "Personal Development Clinic" and administering "Behavior/Life Coaching Activities" as needed to assist students in maintaining appropriate behavior.

Junior Achievement Programs-

JA Ourselves & JA Our Families & JA Afterschool- More Than Money & JA Capstone Experience- Biztown: Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.

SMART Moves-

The SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves Program is a nationally acclaimed prevention program. The program incorporates the latest information and approaches that BGCA has learned about effective prevention. Participants will be exposed to various activities to hone their decision-making and critical-thinking skills as well as learn how to avoid and/or resist alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and premature sexual activity.

SMART Girls-

a program consisting of small group health, fitness, prevention/education, and self-esteem enhancement program desgined to meet the developmental needs of girls 8-12 and 13-17. Through dynamic sessions, highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women, Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values.

Passport to Manhood-

a program that promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 8-17. The program consists of 14 sessions, each of which concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities. Each Club participant receives his own "passport" to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of maturation and growth.

Programs Impacting Healthy Lifestyles:

Triple Play-

a program that strives to improve the overall health of members, ages 6-18, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good  nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships

Positive Sprouts-

a gardening program which strives to improve children's habits of health and nutrition through the process of growing food for themselves. The program focuses on improving healthy habits for Club members by building and maintaining community gardens and providing Clubs with tools and resources to start their own gardens.
