GAINESVILLE, GA — June 30, 2025 – Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier is proud to be part of a bold new national campaign America Needs Club Kids. The campaign from Boys & Girls Clubs of America is built on a simple idea: the America of tomorrow will be shaped by the way we invest in kids today and places like Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier open the door for a future generation who will propel our country forward.
For more than 70 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier has been opening doors for kids and teens — helping them succeed in school, build life skills, discover passions, and grow into confident leaders. This campaign is designed to inspire more people to get involved and support our mission through donations, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts.
“At Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier, we see firsthand how kids thrive when they’re given support, encouragement, and opportunities to lead,” said Steve Mickens, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier “This campaign is about helping everyone understand that investing in young people isn’t just important — it’s essential to our future.”
Lanier Needs Club Kids. Club Kids Need You is a call to action to support. Did you know that for every one dollar invested in a Boys & Girls Club youth — family and their community see an average of $10.32 in economic and social benefit. It reminds us that the success of today’s youth affects every one of us and that Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier are key to preparing young people to become all they’re capable of, including being our next scientists, nurses, teachers, business leaders and community changemakers. As part of the campaign, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier will be sharing stories of Club members, hosting events, and spreading the message locally.
