Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier is committed to the safety of the youth we serve. With heightened awareness and growing concern about the respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus known as COVID-19, BGCL is monitoring, planning, and preparing for public health risks for the youth we serve and their families. We are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the Georgia State Department of Health (DOH) and local school districts.
In light of the announcement of closure by Gainesville City, Forsyth County, and Hall County School Districts, all branches of BGCL will be following the lead of Governor Kemp and our partner school districts regarding school closures. BGCL will suspend in-person afterschool programming at our Club sites for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. The Clubs will continue to provide online resources to promote the academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles of our members. We have taken extra steps to deep clean all surfaces at our facilities to ensure that all kids, staff, and volunteers are safe when the Club reopens.
Check back for updates on social media and on our website.
During these unprecedented times, Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier is doing Whatever it Takes to provide our members and families with the resources they need to continue pursuing academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Although Clubs are currently closed to protect the safety of our members, we encourage families to utilize these resources to keep Club kids engaged during this time.
